All Head Start programs should provide high quality services and safe and nurturing environments for children. If you had a bad experience or have seen or heard something troubling about your local Head Start program, tell us. Your input matters greatly and informs us about actions we need to take to address your concerns.

If it feels safe, reach out to those in charge of your local Head Start center. They may be able to address your concerns immediately and conveniently. If your local program is part of a larger organization, reach out to those with oversight of your local program.

How to reach your local program

Each Head Start center has an administrative office. You may visit or contact the facility and ask for the program director or manager to address your concern. If you can't resolve your issue with your local program's administrative office, contact people who oversee that location. If it is part of a larger agency, you can reach out to senior management there. The locator tool can help you identify this agency.
