Family economic mobility (FEM) is a core aspect of family well-being, one of the seven Family Outcomes in the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework. Partnering with families as they pursue economic well-being is a key part of your work at Head Start programs, whether you are a program director or manager or you work directly with families.
The term “Head Start” refers to all program types serving children and families — preschool Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal, and American Indian and Alaska Native. It also refers to both center- and home-based services.
